All expeditions are undertaken and run by members of the Lost Trades organization or apprentices of the Greenhorn Boat Shop. Individuals interested in these type of adventures must first prove their skills and temperament in a project-based setting. However, it is possible for even new students to come on to the scene late in a project and be invited to join an expedition only months after joining the team. Involvement in important deliveries of boats and back country mountaineering is reserved for those apprentices that demonstrate extraordinary ambition.
